What is DIGIT?

Digital Media, Arts, and Technology (DIGIT) is an interdisciplinary degree offered at Penn State Behrend, combining the technical skills needed in the field with the broad perspective of the liberal arts. This degree prepares students for the real world by giving them a strong coding foundation, teaching human-oriented design principles, and providing them with the applications necessary to succeed.

What will you study?

The DIGIT major offers different focuses depending on what our undergraduates hope to achieve. While some courses are required by all DIGIT students, they can choose between
  • Data Visualization,
  • Digital Humanities,
  • Sound & Motion,
  • Modeling & Simulation/Human Computer Interaction.
DIGIT students will choose two categories to focus on out of four listed, gaining experience needed to pursue the careers they want. To see the full DIGIT curriculum, visit the PSU Undergraduate Bulletin.
